Merit Bruns Plaster Shears are non-ratcheted finger ring specialty scissors designed for use with plaster and fiberglass casting. These scissors should never be used on tissue. They are heavy shears with one larger ring for the thumb. The lower blade has heavy serrations and a blunted probe end so as not to cause injury to the patient while removing casting materials. It is also slightly longer than the standard blade. The standard blade tip is also blunt.
