Sklar's Merit spatula and packer is a double-ended instrument commonly used in minor podiatry surgery. The spatula end is oval with a 7.0mm wide blade used for cleaning out debris from underneath the nail. The packer end is a 2.0mm x 25.0mm rod used for placing and packing material following a procedure. Merit instruments are Sklar's economical office grade line, used for routine outpatient procedures.
