Sklar's Ballenger Swivel Knife is used for cutting and removing cartilage, primarily in nasal procedures. The unique design of this knife allows the blade to swivel at the tip and enables it to cut based on the direction pressure is placed. This allows the majority of cartilage to be removed at one time.
