Sklar's Harrington flexible lung spatula is a hand-held retractor used for holding lung tissue in deep wound retraction. Rather than a wisk (Allison) or fenestrated blade like a kitchen spatula (Sauerbruch), the Harrington has a solid flat blade working surface shaped like a heart (hence it's alias, sweetheart retractor). It has a solid handle, and is available with different blade sizes.
