Sklar Iowa Membrane Puncturing Forceps are an OB/GYN instrument used to puncture the membrane of the amniotic sac and release the amniotic fluid. They are ratcheted, finger ring forceps with 5x6 teeth that provide a secure hold on the membranes. They have long, narrow shanks and jaws that each have a slight curvature.
