Sklar's Kirk bone mallet is an orthopedic instrument used in conjuction with chisels, osteotomes and gouges. Mallets offer an added swinging force. The Kirk has a wide surface area on the head and wide oval handle like the Crane mallet. The Kirk has a solid, heavy head to resist deformation from the impact with other tools.
