Sklar's Simpson-Luikart Obstetrical Forceps are an OB/GYN instrument used for aid in delivery a baby in an ideal occiput anterior position. They feature an inline handle and long, solid, smooth, teardrop shaped blades. This is also referred to as having a cephalic curve. Simpson-Luikart obstetrical forceps are similar Elliott forceps; however, the Simpson-Luikart instrument has parallel shanks, whereas Elliott forceps have overlapping shanks.
