Sklar's Oldberg rongeur is a neurological instrument for use in spinal procedures to push lamina muscles aside and aid in removing herniated discs to relieve pain. The Oldberg is a finger ring instrument similar to the Cloward and Love-Gruenwald rongeurs, rather than the Love-Kerrison spring handle.
